We’re excited to welcome Alyssa Smith as the new Administrative Clerk for the Town of Long Lake Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department!
Many of you may already know Alyssa as Dave Smith’s daughter, from the Sandy Point and Blueberry Motel. She’s also the co-owner of The Natural Edge and has been happily living in Long Lake for the past few years.

In her new role, Alyssa will be supporting the department and assisting Director of Tourism, Alex Verner Roalsvig, in a variety of ways, including:
- Managing bus and building reservations
- Coordinating the distribution of promotional materials
- Updating community kiosks
- Acting as a liaison between local businesses, residents, and the Parks & Recreation office
- Answering tourism-related questions in the Tourism Office
- Assisting with events and programming alongside Jake Fisch, who continues as Long Lake’s Events Coordinator
We’re thrilled to have Alyssa on board and look forward to the energy and organization she brings to our team.
First Assignment: Kiosk Updates – Calling All Local Businesses!
Alyssa’s first project is helping us prepare our kiosks for the busy summer season. We’re inviting Long Lake and Raquette Lake business owners to submit a business card or small advertisement (up to 4×6”) to be featured in our beachside kiosk, located next to the Town Beach and Route 30—a prime spot for visitor traffic.
This is a complimentary service offered by the Town to help promote local businesses. To help visitors find you easily, feel free to include a short location note like “Just past the bridge” or “Next to Hoss’s.”
Deadline to submit materials: June 30
Please drop off your business cards or ads at:
