Winter Wonderland Week is a fun time to get out and enjoy Long Lake and the Adirondacks. Activities include skating races, bonfire skate party, restaurant week, Trivia night and more!

Long Lake Restaurant Week: February 13-22
Dine at all seven eateries (ADK Trading Post, Adirondack Hotel, Brookside Hops & Hoagies, Long Lake Diner, Long View Lodge, Waypoint Café, & Wild ADK Whisk). Complete your card and submit it to Parks & Rec for a chance to win a grand prize.

Raquette Lake Winter Carnival: February 14-15
Frying pan toss, crosscut & chainsaw competition, magic show, and more! Join us for a fun-filled weekend of games and fireworks.

Winter Birding Weekend: February 14-15
Join New York State guide Joan Collins for a weekend of Adirondack birding trips sponsored by Northern New York Audubon and the Long Lake office of Parks & Recreation. Search for winter finch species such as Pine Siskins, Evening Grosbeaks, and Red-winged Crossbills, as well as year-round boreal residents such as Ruffed Grouse and Canada Jays. Participants will meet Saturday and Sunday morning at 7am outside the Adirondack Hotel and drive or carpool to the sites. Registration is required. Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby: February 14
Compete to catch the largest fish on Long Lake and Lake Eaton. Categories for Northern Pike, Landlocked Salmon, Lake Trout, and other Trout; additional kids’ categories for Perch and Pickerel. Registration begins at 6am at the Geiger Arena Skate Shack, then continues at the Long Lake Town Beach starting at 7am. Lines in at 7 and last weigh-in at 3pm. Door prizes and awards to follow at the Long Lake Diner – you must be present to win.

Rough Raquette Snowshoe Run: February 14
Join us at 9:30 AM for the 4th Annual Rough Raquette — a 5K snowshoe race or 1-mile fun run/walk, on the ice! This flat scenic course starts near the village and loops across the bay. Part of Winter Carnival Weekend featuring games, contests, fireworks, and more. Proceeds benefit the Camp Huntington Historic Building Preservation Fund of the Raquette Lake Supply.

Chris Wheel’s Parlor Magic Show: February 14
Interactive show perfect for kids & families, starting 2 PM at the Raquette Lake Library.

Cupid’s Winter Ball: February 14
The CTSO in partnership with the LLCS Travel Club is hosting a semi-formal dance to raise funds for students traveling to Costa Rica in 2026. The Town Hall will be decorated with lights, sparkles, Valentine colors and a travel theme. The dance will take place from 6:00-9:00 PM and be fully supervised by adult chaperones. Tickets will be $20 per student and must be purchased before Tuesday, February 10th.

Dungeons and Dragons Student Club: February 14
Weekly DND group for kids ages 8-14, meeting from 12-3 PM each Saturday at the Long Lake Library.

Pancake Breakfast: February 15
Start the day with a traditional pancake breakfast at the Raquette Lake Fire Hall, 8-11 AM.

Acoustic Jam: February 15
Enjoy an afternoon of music from 2-4 PM at the Long Lake Town Hall. Guitar, dobro, fiddle, dulcimer, harp, accordion, banjo, spoons – all instruments welcome.

Opening Trivia Night: February 18
7pm-9pm. Long View Lodge. Get bundled up and ready to take on fierce competition as our 2026 Trivia Season begins! See if you have what it takes to be the smartest Laker in town as our Quiz Master does his best to leave everyone stumped.

OES Luncheon & Card Party: February 19
Starts 12 PM at the Long Lake Town Hall. Door prizes, 50/50 raffle, and no knowledge of card games necessary! Cost is $13 per person; RSVP by February 10th.

Long Lake Skate Races: February 20
1pm. Geiger Arena. Lace up those skates and see if you have what it takes to enter the Long Lake Skate Races. Whether you enter the Solo, Team Relay, or Backwards races; join in this fun, friendly winter competition. (Must be ages 8+ to participate)

Pizza Party at the Geiger Arena: February 20
6pm. Geiger Arena/Mt Sabattis Recreation Area. Close out Winter Wonderland Week with a pizza party sponsored by the Town of Long Lake Parks & Rec. Department at the Geiger Arena from 6pm-10pm. Enjoy free skating and sledding under the stars, with a bonfire in our custom Long Lake fire pit, and pizza and hot cocoa to warm you up.
