The Northern Forest Canoe Trail closes out the Adirondack Race Series each year by partnering with Long Lake Recreation and Tourism to host the Long Lake Long Boat Regatta. This year’s race is in the books; the 2025 regatta is set for Saturday, Sept. 20.

The Regatta features three signature championship classes:
- The North American Voyageur Canoe Championships
- The Adirondack Kayak Championship
- The Northeastern College Cup race for co-ed (two male & two female) C-4 Stock teams
The course is a 10-mile figure eight, beginning and ending at the Long Lake Public Beach. Check-in begins at 9:30 am. Safety meeting is at 10:30 am, with the race starting at 11 am and will be followed by an awards ceremony and a chili lunch provided by Adirondack Hotel to benefit the Long Lake Lions and NFCT’s Northern Forest Explorers Youth Paddling Scholarship Fund.
