The 24th Annual Long Lake Winter Carnival was held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area in Long Lake, NY. The weather hovered in the 20’s through much of the day and there was a record setting Town Wide photo.
Events kicked off with the coronation of the Moonlighters Snowmobile Club Royal Family, King and Queen Carrie and Chuck Frost, who have been active members of the club for more than 20 years, followed by a tribute honoring the late Harry Buxton, a long-standing officer and dedicated member of the Moonlighters Snowmobile Club who passed away in the spring of 2025. Stan Kolonko of The Ice Farm installed 29 ice carvings for business sponsors participating in the outdoor Ice Garden. Members of the Long Lake Fire Department provided lunch for attendees, with the Long Lake Rescue Squad on standby throughout the day.
