Celebrate the holiday’s in Long Lake, NY.Β

The week kicks off with two of our favorite events. The Feeling Long Lake Polar Plunge and Souper Saturday happening on Saturday, December 27th, 2025. Polar Plunge happens at the Town Beach at noon. Participants register at the Adirondack Hotel at 10:30am. This is a benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project. Individuals and Teams are welcome to participate. Fun prizes and bragging rights abound. We’ve had years where the dippers have plunged at negative degrees. In 2025 we are looking at a balmy 26 degrees F and hope to see everyone there. Registration and donations are all handled at the Adirondack Hotel. Β Minimum of $25 donation required to plunge! Fundraising sheets available here!Β  Β Prizes for Most Funds Raised by a Team and Individual!

If you can’t be there in person, you are still welcome to contribute to the event! Our highest total raised has been $8200 and we hope to surprass that in 2025! Help us meet our goal! Β Donate Here!Β Β

Every dollar raised will help provide warriors with mental and physical health support, career counseling, and more.

Who doesn’t love soup? We have soups everywhere you turn in town on Saturday, December 17th. Check them out at all our stops. Just pop in and heat up. Enjoy soup at the ADK Trading Post, Adirondack Hotel, Brookside Hops & Hoagies, the Long Lake Diner/Owls Head Pub, the Long View Lodge, Stewart’s Shops and the Waypoint Cafe! You’ll warm yourself up from your head to your toes and move about the town. Heads up – Long View doesn’t open until 4pm so you can save that for your final stop!

And while you’re out touring the town, don’t forget our retailers including the Natural Edge Gallery, Hoss’s Country Corner and the Driftwood Nook. Plenty of places to stop and explore.

And if you need to burn some soup calories off, stop by the Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area for ice skating and sledding. We have free skates and sleds galore. They are open 1-5 and 6-10 daily during Winter Break. Closed Christmas Day.

We’re a small town and we do big things !
