8am. The Durant Days and Boat Parade weekend kicks off, sponsored by the Town of Long Lake and the CAA.  This is a weekend of activities celebrating William West Durant the inventor of the Great Camps Style Architecture, which was born in Raquette Lake.  Take a boat tour of Raquette Lake aboard the WW Durant, tour Great Camps, Vespers service at St. Huberts.  Before the fireworks, enjoy the Annual Raquette Lake boat parade along the shores of Raquette Lake. Wide Variety

Boat Parade & Fireworks in Raquette Lake

6pm. The Boat Parade in Raquette Lake begins at 6pm. Registration forms available at Burke’s or Birds Marina. Anything goes!  We are looking for Party Barges, Runabouts, No-Octane.. if it floats and it’s a boat, decorate it.  Get out on the water and show the classic spirit and tradition of Raquette Lake living.  Cash Prizes.

Tour Great Camp Sagamore, Raquette Lake – Durant Days Weekend Event

½ Price Tours available for Durant Days Weekend

Tour Great Camp Sagamore, created in 1897 by famed Great Camps designer W. W. Durant and summer home to the Vanderbilt Family for half a century. 

Tours consist of a short slide show followed by a 1.5 hour walking tour of the key buildings in the upper complex and lower complex, for a full length of about two hours. You will see the worker’s village, the iconic landmark buildings, and peek inside a piece of living history.

Please note that the walking tour of the camp includes walking on gravel roads and staircases. The upper complex is handicap accessible for persons with limited mobility.

Annual Vespers Service with The Reverend Nancy Rosenblum.  Service will be followed by complimentary refreshments.  Free transport from Village Dock at 2:00 p.m.  Transportation provided by Burke’s Marina.  An offering will be collected for building repairs.  Musicians interested in playing for the service please contact at st.hubertsisle@gmail.com www.sthubertsisle.com
