This year, 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 π‹πšπ€πž π€π¦πžπ«π’πœπšπ§ π‹πžπ π’π¨π§ 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 #πŸ”πŸ“πŸŽ will host both the traditional Long Lake Memorial Day Parade and the Hamilton County Memorial Day Parade.
What Does This Mean?
There will be 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 and several ceremonies throughout the day to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Schedule of Events
πŸ•š 11:00 AM – Bridge Ceremony
Traditional Memorial Day ceremony at the Long Lake Bridge.
πŸ•¦ 11:30 AM – Long Lake Memorial Day Parade
The local parade begins at Town Hall and proceeds to the Long Lake Cemetery, followed by the traditional memorial service and decoration of veterans’ graves.
πŸ•‘ 2:00 PM – Hamilton County Memorial Day Parade

 

The county-wide parade begins at Mount Sabattis Recreation Area and travels to Long Lake Central School.

🌭 Approximately 2:30 PM – Community Hot Dog Lunch

The Long Lake Fire Department will serve hot dogs following the county parade.

Why Is This Different This Year?
Long Lake has the honor of hosting the Hamilton County Memorial Day Parade, bringing together veterans, organizations, and residents from across the county for this special annual tradition.
