Long Lake Parks & Recreation welcomes everyone to a new event in 2026 with the Community Coffee House, a one-day pop-up designed to shake off the long winter and welcome everyone out for a day of warmth, creativity and good vibes.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Long Lake Town Hall, 1204 Main Street. Admission is free and open to all.

For the day, the Long Lake Town Hall will be transformed into a relaxed coffeehouse setting featuring fresh a variety of brews curated just for you. A samplings of some of the roasts include Utica Coffee, Gillies Coffee (Brooklyn), and Tug Hill Artisan Roasters—all specialty roasts available locally at ADK Trading Post, The Park, Hoss’s and the Waypoint Café.

The coffee bar will offer pastries and baked goods curated by local favorites Stacy and Trish, including a selection of Stacy Cakes’ signature treats, as featured at the Adirondack Hotel and delicious baked treats from Wild ADK Whisk. A portion of proceeds will benefit CTSO and other local community funds.

Visitors are invited to stop in throughout the day to warm up, browse a selection of local vendors, and take part in hands-on Clay Slab Mug Workshop. Grab a book, write the Great American Novel or just hang with a friend. The space will also double as a pop-up art gallery featuring local artists, with works ranging from prints and photography to textiles and handcrafted goods available for purchase.

Adding to the experience, Shannon Andersen of Mountain Pottery (North River, NY) will lead a Clay Slab Mug Workshop, offering participants the opportunity to create their own handmade mug. The workshop is first come, first served with a $25 fee.

Participating vendors include Auntie B’s Baubles, and Chipman Woodworks. A raffle will be held featuring a locally themed gift basket with items donated by area businesses, including a custom Long Lake print by Alyssa Smith, and coffeehouse-themed items.

Wrap up the day from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a live concert by the nationally touring bluegrass trio, The Cody Sisters. Known for tight harmonies and strong instrumental work, their music features fast picking, clean acoustic sound, and powerful vocal harmonies, a sound rooted in bluegrass and old-time traditions. Westword Magazine calls them “uncannily talented,” while Bluegrass Standard Magazine describes their music as “brilliant and riveting.” Legendary songwriter Ralph McTell (“Streets of London”) has praised their “fresh and original approach” noting a musical maturity well beyond their years.

This is the kind of live music you don’t just pass by—grab a seat, listen, and stay awhile. Admission is free.
