SUMMARY:St. Williams Concert Series - Annie and the Hedonists
DESCRIPTION:Annie & the Hedonists land on Long Point on July 23rd. This captivating Americana band based in New York’s Capital Region is known for their vibrant blend of vintage blues\, swing\, folk\, jazz\, and acoustic roots music. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Annie Rosen\, the band draws from a rich tradition of female blues singers and jazz greats—think Bessie Smith\, Ma Rainey\, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. Their wide-ranging repertoire also includes acoustic blues\, Western swing\, gospel\, and old-timey tunes. The group has recorded at least seven albums! \n  \nThese programs are made possible with funds from the statewide Community Regrants Program\, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts.
