Bob Milne is considered to be the best ragtime/boogie-woogie pianist in the world. He was filmed and documented for future generations in 2004 during three days of interviews at the Library of Congress\, and was declared a “National Treasure” at the conclusion. His goal is to ensure the bears’ well-being as well as the safety of those of us who enter our woods hoping to see them. His well-known admonition – “A fed bear is a dead bear.” – signifies his belief that the responsibility for achieving that goal rests largely with us.  \n  \nCome\, enjoy\, bring the older kids. Ask all the questions the film and your personal experiences summon up.  \n  \n(Please note the illustration below is one of four information posters created by Long Lake Central School students subsequent to a discussion about bears with Mr. Berchielli when he visited their Science class in late May.
