If you’re not a musician\, come to enjoy an afternoon of music. \nInstruments typically are guitar\, dobro\, fiddle\, dulcimer\, harp\, mandolin\, accordion\, concertina\, banjo\, spoons\, tin whistle\, bass\, whatever. Sadly\, there have been not fiddle players recently. There is no amplification. \nWe take turns in picking our favorite music so it can be Country\, Old Time\, Celtic\, Folk\, Bluegrass\, or whatever you want. We’ll even take requests and sometimes\, we might even know the tune. Over the years\, there have been some very strange songs played to Banjo and Mandolin.

Pronounced /kālē/\, a Celtic Ceilidh is a social event involving music\, storytelling\, dancing and signing\, and this Adirondack Celtic Ceilidh will be no different. 12-1pm: North Country Fair performs traditional Celtic music featuring guitar\, bass\, cittern and more. 1-230pm: “Celtic Music Session”. All are welcome to bring an instrument to jam with the band and others\, or just listen along. 230-4pm: Contra Dancing set to lively Celtic music from North Country Fair. All ability levels welcome and instruction will be provided for first timers. Ages 12 and up. Come to dance or just listen and watch. Refreshments available for purchase from the Long Lake Lions Club. All proceeds go to the Long Lake Lions Club and are used to fund programs in Long Lake throughout the year. You will learn how to use the collars and pockets of used wool suit-jackets. You will be able to choose the right interfacing for the wool fabric to give the bag the ultimate shape. We use patchwork technique to give the bag a beautiful look and one of a kind product. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\nWho should attend: \n\n\nYou are eager to learn new techniques\, share sewing tips and like to interface\, have fun and learn from others. His goal is to ensure the bears’ well-being as well as the safety of those of us who enter our woods hoping to see them. His well-known admonition – “A fed bear is a dead bear.” – signifies his belief that the responsibility for achieving that goal rests largely with us.  \n  \nCome\, enjoy\, bring the older kids.
