DESCRIPTION: The beds are BACK. \nAfter a 10-year hiatus\, Long Lake’s legendary Bed Races return for the 250th Anniversary of the United States—and we’re bringing the competition\, speed\, and chaos back to Main Street. \nA staple on and off since the 1980s\, the Bed Races are making their long-awaited comeback in 2026 with fresh energy and a whole lot of anticipation. Whether you’re in it to win it or just in it to survive the ride\, now’s the time to rally your crew and start building. Teams will race custom-built\, non-motorized beds down a fast\, downhill 0.2-mile course from the Bridge to the Beach\, with spectators lining the route. \nDust off the wheels. Reinforce the frame. Pick your rider wisely. \nRiders may be under 18* but only with authorized parental or guardian consent. Riders must wear helmets.
