SUMMARY:Joan Collins Birding Hike - Rt. 30 & Sabattis Circle Road
DESCRIPTION:July 21st\, 2026 \nJoan Collins Birding Hike – Rt. 30 & Sabattis Circle Road \n6:30am. Join Joan Collins on this exciting birding trip into the William C. Whitney Wilderness Area\, a designated Important Birding Area (IBA) by Audubon New York. Eighteen warbler species – including Northern Waterthrush\, Mourning\, Palm\, and Canada Warblers – breed along Sabattis Circle Road. Along Sabattis Circle Road we will make stops at several locations\, including the trailhead for Buck Mountain (where there is a port-a-potty)\, the scenic inlet of Little Tupper Lake\, the Round Lake Trailhead\, and Sabattis Bog. If we have time\, we can bring lunch to the Tupper Lake Marsh viewing deck and keep an eye out for the breeding Sandhill Cranes and other marsh birds. Bring insect repellant\, hat\, sunscreen\, water\, lunch\, binoculars and appropriate clothing/jacket and footwear. To register\, contact Joan at JoanCollins@ADKAvian.com or 315-244-7127.
